Nevada Health Centers sponsored another successful safeTALK training. It was hosted at the Historic Airfield Museum in Wendover. A total of 15 people from the community engaged in discussions and skill-building exercises aimed at identifying and addressing suicidal behavior.
The safeTALK training equips participants with practical tools to recognize the signs of suicidal ideation and effectively intervene to provide support. Through interactive workshops and real-life scenarios, attendees are empowered to become active agents of change within their communities.
Now nearly 60 people are suicide alert in Elko County, with the majority being NVHC employees. The impact of this training goes beyond the confines of the training room. Every participant becomes a potential lifeline for those going through tough times.
