Bio:
Brittney Mengistu, MD, is a board-certified Pediatrician. She graduated from the University of Toledo College of Medicine in Toledo, Ohio in 2011. In 2007, Dr. Mengistu graduated Summa Cum Laude from Alcorn State University in Lorman, Mississippi where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.
Since 2015, she has been working in Las Vegas and Henderson. As part of her work as a pediatrician, she has monitored childhood developmental markers to screen for abnormalities and foster physical and mental wellness in children; advocated for adherence to vaccination schedule for best disesae prevention; met with new parents and parents-to-be to inform and educate on newborn care.
She also teamed with other physicians, specialists, and health care providers to provide well-rounded care for complex cases.
Dr. Mengistu is a Fellow in the Nevada chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Away from work, she enjoys traveling with her husband and children, hiking, fitness, reading and drawing.
