Getting help to cover the costs of care

Nevada Health Centers accepts most insurance plans, including Medicaid and Medicare, and we offer a sliding fee scale for those who qualify.

We also offer health coverage enrollment assistance for Medicaid and Qualified Health Plans (QHP). These services are offered by appointment at several of our Community Health Centers. To schedule an appointment, please call 800.787.2568.

What information will I need to provide during my appointment?

  • Family size
  • Income information – pay stubs, W-2 forms, Social Security award letters, previous year income taxes
  • Proof of residency – Nevada ID, passport, permanent resident cards, citizen naturalization certificates, birth certificates
  • Social Security cards for all family members, including children, in your tax household
  • Date of birth for all family members in your tax household

What is Medicaid?

Nevada Medicaid is a program that provides health care services to low-income Nevadans who qualify. Nevada Medicaid enrollment is available year round.

Information regarding Nevada Medicaid  is available through the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services online at dwss.nv.gov or by calling 702.486.1646 (Southern Nevada) or 775.684.7200 (Northern Nevada).

What is Nevada Check Up?

Nevada Check Up is a program designed for children who do not qualify for Medicaid but whose household incomes are at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). Participants in the Nevada Check Up program are charged a quarterly premium based on income. NV Check Up enrollment is available year round.

What is Medicare? 

Medicare is a federal insurance program typically available for those 65 and older, with some exceptions.
