The Nevada Children’s Health Project mobile unit had a change in schedule and now will be stationed at the Martin Luther King Family Health Center, located at 1799 Mount Mariah Dr., Las Vegas. Click here for the full schedule.
The Nevada Children’s Health Project is a collaboration between Nevada Health Centers and the Children’s Health Fund. We serve at-risk youth in southern Nevada, with a special focus on the homeless, the disenfranchised, and those facing poverty. Our team provides care for infants, children, and youth up to age 21.
Services offered include:
- Full examinations and well-child/adolescent care
- Testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases
- Behavioral and mental health screening, evaluation, and treatment
- Sick visits and acute care
- Minor surgical procedures
- Immunizations
- Health education
- Prescriptions for medications
- Lab testing
Counseling services available for:
- Tobacco cessation
- Suicide risk and prevention
- Substance abuse
- Pregnancy
- Self-care and safety issues
- Child development
- Risk reduction
