August is Breastfeeding Awareness Month, a time to celebrate the amazing benefits of breastfeeding and to support new moms. Breast milk is packed with essential nutrients and antibodies that help keep babies healthy. Breastfeeding creates a special bond between mother and child.

This month is also a great opportunity to tackle any challenges new moms might face. From finding support to overcoming workplace hurdles, the goal is to make sure every mom has the resources she needs. At Nevada Health Centers, we are making a difference with our WIC services. We offer support to pregnant and new mothers, including personalized breastfeeding help, nutritional counseling, and even supplies.  Thanks to these services, more families can enjoy the many benefits of breastfeeding, helping both moms and babies thrive! It’s perfectly okay if some mothers choose formula feeding instead; what matters most is that both mother and baby are happy and healthy.
