Nevada Health Centers’ Bower School-Based Health Center at Basic Academy re-opened on Monday, April 2. The center operates Mondays and Thursdays, 7 a.m. to noon, and offers primary care and preventive health services to children of the Clark County School District. It is located at 400 Palo Verde Drive, on the campus of Basic Academy for International Studies in Henderson.
The center originally opened in 2004 as is named in honor of community supporters Dr. Joel Bower and his late wife, Carol, who are long-standing advocates for area school-aged children and their families.
We offer the following services:
- Treatment of minor illnesses and injuries such as headaches, colds, etc.
- Management of chronic illnesses such as asthma, allergies, etc.
- Pre-participation sport, camp, Head Start & ROTC physicals
- Wellness examinations
- Health education
- Immunizations (ACIP recommendations)
