Making the holiday season brighter for those in need
Friendsgiving is a heartfelt holiday food donation program started by Nevada Health Centers’ Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) team. For the last several years, WIC staff has been collecting holiday food items and creating special food baskets to give away to those in need.
This year, we are doubling our efforts and expanding the program, reaching even more families in need — and we need your help, too!
If you would like to join the campaign, considering donating the following food items. The list below represents the total food needed to complete one (1) Friendsgiving basket:
- $20 gift card (to purchase turkey)
- 2 pouches of mashed potatoes
- 2 packages of turkey gravy mix
- 1 box of stuffing mix
- 2 cans of corn
- 2 cans of green beans
- 1 can of dried onion rings
- 1 can of sweet potatoes
- 1 can of cranberry sauce
- 1 can of fruit cocktail
- 2 packages of pudding or Jello
- 1 box of cake mix
- 1 container of frosting
- Other non-perishable items

Martin Luther King Health Center is open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
How to make a financial contribution
